Half way home on new servers.. yes, 2!

Hey guys!
I have moved the online databases to the new server, and they are operating off of it now. That should relive at least a little stress on this old server until the rest of the move is complete.
The next step is the "unfun" part, since it requires movign DNS's, which can occur for different folks at different times.
We will be operating off of 2 servers going forward; one for the databases, one for the sites. This is optimal, but more expensive (about $300/month more). BUt it's definately going to help speed things up. :)
If all goes well tonight, I will be kicking football games off tomorrow at their normal time. If not, I'll let you know.

Getting a new server within the week

Hey guys!
I realize there are problems at the moment. I am having a hard time troubleshooting the solution, but one thing is for certain :
I generally move to a new server every 2-3 years, and I’m a bit overdue (3 ½ years). Therefore, I am moving forward and getting a new server for the games. I will be pricing them over the next day and make a decision this weekend. I am hopeful to get everything moved over within the next week.
Server moves are painful, but definitely less painful than bad server performance. I am confident a new server will perform better than the current one, and am pretty confident it will fix our problems.
Footballers : we are on hold until I get a new server in place (or this server miraculously “fizes†itself, which is unlikely). I will keep you up to date.
Horseracers : The timing of this couldn’t be more perfect. If my audit this weekend goes as planned, the new viewer will be complete. Part of moving to the new server would be to get the new viewer in it’s home anyway, so this will actually expedite that process a bit.
Sorry again, but rest assured I am doing what I can given my current schedule limitations to solve the problem ASAP.

Further football delays

I am having continued problems with my connection. This problem is a unique one which I haven’t previously experienced. Unfortunately, my full time work schedule is preventing me from researching it until this weekend. For these reasons, I will again be cancelling games this evening due to this problem. I am hopeful to solve it quickly, but that may or may not be possible.
I will roll forward any playbook options forward as many days as the games are delayed.

Football leagues not run tonight

Hey guys :
I have been researching for hours, but have come to no conclusions. Given the fact that I've never seen anything like this before tonight, I am going to write it off as an "oddity", and will be skipping the majority of tonights runs. A couple of leagues moved forward, but most leagues did not.
I will be turning off the scrimmages tonight, but will begin running them again in the morning. If things prove unstable, I may have to wait until this weekend to
figure things out entirely. This may mean delaying games / scrimmages
until troubleshooting is completed.
I apologize for the issues, and will do what I can to rectify things ASAP.

I am unable to get home for at least several more hours to investigate what the problem with my modem is.
If I can resolve the issue, I will try and allow as many leagues to run tonight as possible; as of now, assume your league will run. I will post an update later after I get home and determine the cause of the problem.

Football LG 21,25,29,31,33,34,&35 - Please Read!

The following leagues are being considered for elimination or at least restructuring :
21
25
29
31
33
34
35
All of these leagues have only a handful of active players, and no teams with pay options active. Eliminating these league (or, at the very least, greatly reducing their schedules) will allow games in more populated leagues to be run and posted faster, and will also help to funnel newer players into healthier leagues.
If you have a team in one of these leagues and have a major objection, please send me a comment through the Contact Us link below :

Eliminating these leagues is not a "done deal", and I will seriously consider all well thoughtout comments (especially those sent by supporting players). If some leagues are not eliminated, however, their schedules will still likely be reduced to avoid completing with the other leagues for CPU time.

A quick note on the lag (for a few days...)

It looks like my router, not my cable line, is shot. I was trying to trouble shoot remotely from the "real job", which lead to the incorrect diagnosis.
Good news.. everything should be run this evening. Bad news... we'll be slow for a few days until I can get a new router.

Some lesgueds may not run this evening

My cable model is dead. I still have my DSL line, however, and will try to get as many games run and uploaded as possible this evening. It isn't powerful enough to do them all, however, so some games may have to be skipped this evening. I'll post a more complete update later.
